Job Posting: Makeup Tech
Pegasus Theatre
Run: December 19 – January 4
Tech: December 14–17
Off Days: December 22–25
Fee: $600
Pegasus Theatre is seeking a Makeup Tech for the upcoming production. This role supports our signature Living Black & White(R) style and ensures that all actor-applied makeup is consistent, clean, and aligned with the show’s design. It will require an NDA as the technique is legally protected.
Responsibilities
Oversee and support actors as they apply their own makeup.
Ensure all makeup applications are consistent with the approved design.
Maintain quality control throughout tech and the run.
Provide touch-ups, adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.
Collaborate with the design team, stage management, and cast to maintain continuity.
Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled calls.
Schedule
Tech Week:
Dec 14–17
Call: 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Performance Run:
Dec 19 – Jan 4
Weeknight Shows: 5:30 PM call
Saturday/Sunday Matinees: 11:30 AM call
Off Days:
Dec 22–25
Compensation
$600 stipend for the full contract.
Ideal Candidate
Makeup artist or stage makeup experience required.
Strong understanding of theatrical makeup techniques and continuity.
Confident supervising and guiding actors as they apply their own makeup.
Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced tech process.
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain the high visual standards of Pegasus Theatre's style.
